& i mean never....
TSA Pre / Global Entry: This is the top of my list because it’s a serious game changer. I encourage anyone traveling internationally once a year (or even every other year), to splurge on Global Entry. For an extra $20 you can breeze past the customs line coming back into the U.S. TSA Pre is included with Global Entry so you still get all the perks like keeping your shoes on. (Hands down the best part! You can’t convince me otherwise)
I first applied for Global Entry in 2019, it lasts for 5 years and I recently went through the process to re-apply. Renewing mine was a breeze and they assured there wouldn’t be any lapse in coverage while I was traveling this summer.
Priority Pass Card: Priority Pass gets you access into 1700 different airport lounges worldwide. Scan your pass a long layovers & killing time during a delay have never been so enjoyable. So far, Munich Germany has been my favorite with CDG in Paris being the worst. This is included with my Capital One Venture X credit card. I think the added perks of this card are totally worth it! If you apply using my referral link and are approved, we both get a referral bonus! Check it out here: https://i.capitalone.com/JE0rrZr6f
You’re also able to add this to your Apple wallet, so it’s one less card in your wallet if you prefer digital passes & boarding tickets, like I do! Now that I’ve had access to a lounge to burn an hour at the airport, I can never go back. $15 Starbucks meal? $6 Smart Water? Not anymore! A full buffet, bar and selections of snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, with a bathroom that’s usually much cleaner. I've never felt like I was having a spa-experience in an airport bathroom... I can never go back. You can even bring 1 guest, so if you’re traveling with a friend they can come with for no extra charge!
Adapters, Charger & Powerbank: if you’re traveling internationally. This is a must! Linking mine with multiple charger outlets and works in most countries because of the dual plug.
You can see all my essentials here:
Aquaphor: While flying thousands of feet in the air, the altitude is also drying your skin & lips. Chapped lips or flakey dry hands on a plane are not a fun feeling! Packing Aquaphor and hand creams have been a lifesaver for me.
Convert your cash into the currency you need BEFORE you get to the airport. Your local bank will be cheaper than the airport and transaction fees once you arrive. I promise!
The real essential that CAN'T be packed? A good attitude. Be ready for a good laugh. No matter what! Traveling involves so many moving parts, so many things that have to go right, just enjoy the journey while you're on it <3
