Denmark is the happiest people on earth right?! We definitely thought so when we visited. Seated next to a Dutch family, they were as kind and normal as ever as we struck up a conversation while enjoying our food in an open-air food market. I still remember this day vividly and this experience definitely shaped my love for markets & food halls.










Copenhagen has the coolest vibe to it-- Canals, Nyhavn harbor, & the iconic Little Mermaid statue. You can rent bikes to ride while you're sightseeing too.













Tivoli Gardens was supposedly Walt Disney's inspiration for DisneyLand.



Freetown Christiania: Christiania is Copenhagen’s alternative neighborhood with homemade houses, galleries, venues, and organic cafés and restaurants. Basically, police leave them alone. It's open to the public and you’re welcome to explore on your own, but it is also possible to book a guided tour, run by local Christianites. You can't take pictures at "Pusher Street", but it's worth the trip just to see. And yes, it is exactly what you think it is...
