One of my top highlights was the Van Gosh museum! There's much more culture, art and history to Amsterdam than just the nightlife and the "Red Light District", which is an experience in and of itself.

The Ann Frank Haus is another must-see while in Amsterdam. To see where their family hid in such a small space, it's truly eye-opening. The picture below is the bookcase Ann Frank and her family used to access their hiding space. The crawlspaces were so narrow that it's hard to imagine grown men climbing in there, but they had no choice. They made it just over TWO years living there before being captured.

The Heineken Experience: tour the factory & even make a personalized Heineken bottle with your name and the date etched into the glass. I still have mine 10 years later!
